Autocreate for Groups#3

Could it be possible to add a feature to auto create groups when fixtures are patched? Like creating “All group” for each fixture type. “All group” will create one group for all fixtures of the same type.

Yes , High priority for me . Auto Generate Groups or/and Magic Sheet option on Fixtures View: select all fixture of selected type.

Can you elaborate how this would work? Whats the goal?

I suppose the goal is to have group auto generated based on fixture types. This could be placed as option after patch, as other console software have in the patch option ;). For example after patching a kind of fixture you could choose if enable autocreation of groups based on patch you made. So if you had a patch of 10 AstraHyb330 you could have a group of this 10 fixtures auto generated. This option could be also enabled or disable as default from general settings.

Alternatively, there could be a follow-up option, i.e. having an option to generate groups based on fixture types from the groups view.

How Auto-Creation of groups is supposed to work is pretty clear, but I do not understand what the goal of having a Magic Sheet Option on the Fixtures view would be, or the description of the request is not clear to me.

I imagine that what is intended are two different things. Auto group generator based on fixture type is one thing. The other thing is a way to select all fixtures of the same type as feature available in MagicSheet view and Fixture view, maybe from the context menu?

I thinl about 2 options at this moment:

• Create group by fixture type
• Create group by fixture Name .
  In this case it is easy when we have labeling correctly fixtures in the patch to create groupe quickly .

Hi!. It was for the case who we not have Group … But it can be usefull to have selection options. The best is maybe to use the long press menu on icon ( Fixture view ) . And offer different option : Select by type, by name, select ODD , select EVEN , ALL , etc… If somebody have other idea ? … Look at pict bellow .

I don’t think this is the right place as the menu is always for one fixture only; the selection options (except for select by type) are already present in the Tools Menu.
