What else would you move downwards instead?

I would move the link key down.

I would move the Firmware Version down.

Yes, It’s also fine to move the firmware version down and leave the linking key where it is.

I’ll have a look at this and see if there are any drawbacks.

Here’s screenshots with the FW and without the FW.
I’d like to keep the FW Version sort of visible, though - How about adding it to the status label?

Another idea could be moving wdmx firmwares to the maintenance tab, maybe even in one line with the enable bluetooth buttons.

I still think the best thing would be to move the linking key to the bottom, because if it’s enabled, the universe’s position still remains at the bottom even when moving the firmware version, and it’s not visible at first glance when it should be something important. So, for me, it would be better to move both the firmware version and the link key to the bottom.

I would prefer to not move the linking key down.
If linking key is enabled, the “unlink all” button is hidden, which I think is even worse.

I’d rather move the firmware version into the status label or to maintenance alltogether as this is the least-needed part of information in the daily life of the console.

OK, it might be okay to have the firmware version in the status label and not move the linking key, but I think that with it enabled the universe display would still be at the bottom. I don’t know how much would change from the current situation with the linking key disabled. At the same time, the linking key must come after the Mode selection because obviously this is not available in the G3 and G4S but only in the CRMX. What if we put the mode selection in the same line as Enable W DMX?

What if we put the mode selection in the same line as Enable W DMX?

I’ve also thought about this and it feels strange. If its a switch with three buttons next to it, it breaks the consistency of the UI. If the disable would become a button to select, selecting a different mode when re-enabling than previously also unlinks any fixtures which were previously connected. This is something specific to the TimoTwo and not something we have control over.

We feel that moving the firmware version into the status label or to maintenance is the best solution.

The main problem right now is that the DMX Universe selection can not be seen with some settings at all, and as such users may overlook the scroll bar and dont see it at all.

With the proposed solution the users can actually see that there is more to configure.

We’ll change it by moving the FW version into the status label.
